# Contract Specifications

### What Are Perpetuals?

TxFlow perpetuals are derivative products with **no expiration date**. They maintain price convergence with the underlying spot asset through **funding payments** rather than settlement dates. For details on the funding mechanism, see [Funding](/perp/funding.md).
