# Market Types

TxFlow supports prediction markets with different outcome structures.

### Binary Markets

A binary market has two possible outcomes: **YES** or **NO**

Example:

> Will BTC be above $100,000 at 08:00 UTC on September 30?

You can:

* Buy YES if you believe the condition will be met.
* Buy NO if you believe the condition will not be met.

At resolution, one side settles at $1 and the other settles at $0.

#### Crypto Up / Down Markets

Some crypto markets may ask whether the price of an asset will finish above or below a specified reference price or condition.

Example:

> Will BTC be above the specified price at 08:00 UTC?

The exact reference price, observation time, price source, and resolution conditions are displayed in the market's **Resolution Rules**.

### Category Markets

A Category Market contains multiple possible outcomes, with only one outcome ultimately winning.

Example:

> Which team will win the tournament?

| Outcome | YES Price |
| ------- | --------- |
| Team A  | $0.40     |
| Team B  | $0.30     |
| Team C  | $0.20     |
| Team D  | $0.10     |

The YES prices across all outcomes will generally add up to approximately $1 because only one outcome can win.

If Team A wins: `Team A YES = $1`

All other YES outcomes settle at: `$0`

#### Trading an Individual Outcome

In a Category Market, each outcome can be traded through YES or NO.

For example:

**Buy YES on Team A**

You win if Team A is the final winning outcome.

**Buy NO on Team A**

You win if any valid outcome other than Team A is the final winning outcome.

### Supported Market Categories

TxFlow may offer prediction markets across categories such as:

* Crypto
* Sports
* Other supported event markets

The available markets and categories may change over time.

Each market should be evaluated based on its own Resolution Rules before trading.
