Builder Fees & Benefits

Builders earn from two sources on the same trader: the builder fee, paid by the user, and referral commission, paid by TxFlow out of the trading fee. Growth incentives come on top.

Builder fees

You set the fee per order with f, up to the user's approved rate and the market cap.
The user pays it on top of the TxFlow trading fee. It never changes TxFlow's own fee.
Fees accrue on every fill. Claim any time with claimBuilderRewards, free of charge.
No builder fee is charged on liquidation or ADL fills.

Spot: sell fills only

On spot, the builder fee is one-sided: it is charged only when your user's order sells the base asset, never when it buys.

A buy order still accepts your builder object and still fills — the fee rate on it is simply never charged, so there is nothing to reject or retry.
It applies whether the sell is the maker or the taker side of the fill.
The TxFlow spot trading fee is separate and charged on both sides: in the base asset on a buy, in the quote asset on a sell (see Fees & Discounts).

So spot earnings depend on how much of your users' spot volume is selling, not on total spot volume — a user who buys $10,000 of a token and later sells it pays the builder fee once, on the sell. Price your spot rate and show it in your ticket with that in mind.

Referral commission

Traders who bind your referral code earn you a share of their net perpetual trading fees, after their discount.

Eligible builders can unlock commission boosts, builder points, grants and co-marketing opportunities as they grow.

Builder points: builders earn points on volume routed with their builder code. Volume flagged by risk controls is excluded. Points follow the Points Program Terms.

Example 1: perpetuals

A trader bound to your referral code generates $1,000,000 in perpetual taker volume at VIP 0, with a 0.045% trading fee and a 0.05% builder fee.
